Dear all, please note that we will be going through operational changes from October Onwards and we will not be operating within the SMU Premises.

Class schedules and bookings for the week after next will be released and made available to you every Saturday at 9 p.m. SGT.

(E.g. Today is 12th February 2022, Saturday. At 9 p.m., schedule for the week of 21st Feb to 27 Feb will be released and available for booking).

If you are unable to attend a class, please cancel it before 9 p.m. SGT the night before the booked session. Cancellations made after that will be deemed as a late cancellation and there will be a $15 late cancellation fee.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your class. First-timers should arrive 20 minutes before the start of your class. There will be a mandatory safety briefing before the start of every class to ensure the safety and riding experience of our riders.

You are considered late if you arrive past 5 minutes before the start of the class. This will be considered as a No Show, and 1 class credit will be deducted. E.g. if your class is at 3 p.m. and you arrive at 2.55 p.m., you are considered late and your spot may be given up to walk-ins.

The doors will be closed when class commences. For your own safety and riding experience at SPYN, late comers that arrive after will not be allowed into class; so please ensure you give yourself plenty of time to make your way to the studio and get ready for your class.

If you are in a waitlist, you will be automatically enrolled into the class when a spot opens up. All waitlist will expire 2 hours before the start of the class and will no longer apply.

Walk-ins are only accepted 30 minutes before the start of the class. Walk-ins are on a first-come-first-serve basis, so you will need to remain present in the studio to be given priority should a spot open up.

Please note that if you were previously on the waitlist, you will not have any special priority over the walk-ins who arrive before you. The priority will go to whoever arrives at the studio first, within the 30-mininute window)

Please remember to bring your water bottle and a pair of socks for the ride. You may wish to bring along your fitness tracker if you have one as well.

Shoes will be provided upon check-in. Our reception will assist you with the shoe size, and small towels will be provided on the bikes.

If you forgot to bring your socks, you can purchase them over the counter at $5 .

Our Off-Peak Series are applicable for all weekday classes before 6pm (not including 6pm classes)

If this is your very first time spinning, please book into our Rhythmic Beginners class to ensure the best riding experience for yourself. In this class, you will learn the fundamentals of being on the bike and familiarise yourself with the basic movements of rhythmic cycling.

It is important to arrive 20 minutes in advance for a safety briefing given by the instructor. This briefing will teach you the fundamentals of being on the bike, such as moves and riding positions we have at SPYN, as well as the correct form you should adopt when riding on the bike; so please listen to the briefing attentively. Our friendly staff and your appointed instructor for the class will also be there to help you set up your bikes before the class commences.

To prevent any injuries, you are always advised to:

  • Listen to your instructor and do not hesitate to approach them or raise your hand if you have any concerns or if you feel the need to step out of the class.
  • Ensure that you drink plenty of water before, during and after the class.
  • In addition to our 5-minute stretching session at the end of every class, aim to stretch your legs for an additional 10 minutes after you leave. A thorough stretch after your workout is crucial to relieve any tightness in your leg muscles.
  • If you have not been physically active, we advise you to go for a light exercise to accustom your body to the workout (i.e. Light jogging / running a couple of days before your class).
  • More importantly, please listen to your own body; it is perfectly okay to slow down and take it on the saddle when you are tired. You may also bring your resistance down by turning your resistance knob anti-clockwise if you need to.

To reduce the possibility of sustaining injuries during your spin class, it is important to take note on the above points.

Although Injuries resulting from Indoor Cycling are uncommon, it is still important to understand the possibility of occurrence.

Most importantly, listen to your body and perform only what you can achieve. It is a Zero Judgement Zone and we hope you enjoy the class!

We provide storage lockers for you to store your belongings.

Also, please approach our friendly receptionist if you need to shower. We do offer towels and soap & shampoo for our customers ;  you may return it back to the counter once you are done.

You will receive 1 Drop-In Class when your new friend has completed 3 classes! To enjoy your reward, please ensure the following:

  • Your friend signs up with your referral link before completing any classes.
  • Once they have created an account through the link, they can proceed to purchase any SPYN Class Packs and complete their 3 classes.

Step 2: Visit and log in to the account.

* Your 1 Drop-In Class can be used for all Rhythmic Ride and Rhythmic Beginners classes.

If you need to refill your water bottles, please approach any of our friendly staff to do so.

Bottled water and 100plus are for sale for only $1 as well.

If you are new to Rhythm Cycling, we do not recommend that you start doing classes when you’re pregnant. However if you have received permission from your doctor and you have had a regular exercise routine with us you can continue to come for class.  However, we don’t recommend it past the third trimester. We will also offer you an option to freeze your class packs for the duration of your pregnancy and post-partum recovery.

If you have any pre-existing medical condition, please first seek your doctor’s clearance before you can join us on the bike.

Our staff, instructors and subcontractors are not medically qualified so if you have any doubts about your fitness or capability to exercise, we strongly recommend that you get advice from a doctor first. For safety reasons, you are responsible for correctly using our facilities and agree to waive SPYN PTE. LTD. and all subsidiaries from all liability which you agreed to when purchasing a class/package and registering for a User Account.

By signing up for and/or attending classes, events, activities, and other programs and using the premises, facilities and equipment, or any other location or venue where SPYN is providing services (individually and/or collectively, the “Classes and Facilities”) of SPYN PTE.LTD., and its subsidiaries (collectively, “SPYN”), I hereby acknowledge on behalf of myself, my heirs, personal representatives and/or assigns, that there are certain inherent risks and dangers associated with high intensity exercise such as cycling and boxing, and the use of exercise equipment in association with the Classes and Facilities.

By attending classes and using the studio facilities and equipment, I am aware that I am voluntarily engaging in strenuous physical activity and that there are certain inherent risks and dangers in indoor cycling and using exercise equipment in association with the classes and facilities. I acknowledge that some of these risks cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries and that the staff, instructors, and subcontractors are not medically qualified and will not perform any evaluation of my physical condition which might result in the identification of risk factors contradicting physical exercise prior to starting or continuing an exercise activity.

I also acknowledge that strenuous physical activity may increase the risk of various potential injuries, including but not limited to

(1) minor injuries such as scratches, bruises, and sprains;

(2) major injuries such as eye or ear injury or loss of sight or hearing, joint or back injuries, heart attacks, rhabdomyolysis, seizures and concussions;

(3) catastrophic injuries including paralysis and death; and

(4) continual or long-term exposure to amplified music carries risk of hearing damage.

Participants should be aware that flashing lights and music played at a high volume are part of the SPYN experience. SPYN is not responsible for any adverse reactions to these elements. The studio provides personal noise protection in the form of ear plugs for its participants to use if desired.

Participants are strongly encouraged to request and take advantage of an initial introduction, including equipment and bike set up, and ongoing support available from SPYN staff to ensure the proper and safe use of all Classes and Facilities.

At all times, I shall comply with all stated and customary terms, posted safety signs, rules and verbal instructions given to me by staff. If in the subjective opinion of the SPYN staff, I would be at physical risk participating in SPYN’s Classes or using the Facilities, I understand and agree that I may be denied access to the Classes and Facilities until I furnish SPYN with an opinion letter from my medical doctor, at my sole cost and expense, specifically addressing SPYN’s concerns and stating that SPYN’s concerns are unfounded. However, I also acknowledge that being permitted to access the Classes and Facilities does not mean I am not at physical risk, and it is not an endorsement by SPYN of my fitness to participate in the Classes or use the Facilities.

In consideration of being allowed to participate in and access the Classes and Facilities, I hereby

(1) agree to assume full responsibility for any and all injuries or damage which are sustained, aggravated or caused by me to myself or anyone else in relation to the Classes and Facilities;

(2) release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless SPYN, its direct and indirect parents and shareholders, subsidiary affiliate entities, and each of their respective officers, directors, members, employees, representatives and agents, and each of their respective successors and assigns and all others, from any and all responsibility, claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities to the fullest extent allowed by law arising out of or in any way related to my participation in the Classes or use of the Facilities; and

(3) represent that I (a) understand that participating in SPYN Classes constitutes strenuous physical activity, and that I am in good health and able to engage in such activity; (b) have no medical or physical condition that would prevent me from properly using any of the Classes and Facilities, or that would put me or anyone else in physical or medical danger; (c) have not been instructed by a physician to not participate in physical exercise or in the type or intensity of activity in the Classes and Facilities; and (d) am physically and mentally capable of participating in the Classes and using the Facilities.

I acknowledge that if I have any chronic disabilities or conditions, I am at risk in using SPYN’s Classes and Facilities, and should not be participating in any Classes.

VALUABLES AND PERSONAL PROPERTY: I acknowledge that I have been urged to avoid bringing valuables onto the Facilities and that SPYN shall not be liable for the loss of, theft of, or damage to my personal property, including items left in lockers, bathrooms, studios, or anywhere else in the Facilities. I acknowledge that no portion of any fees paid by me is in consideration for the safeguarding of valuables.

ETIQUETTE: To preserve the SPYN sanctuary, I agree to abide by SPYN’s etiquette guidelines found at SPYN’s front desk. SPYN reserves the right to deny access to any person SPYN deems to be acting in an inappropriate or unsafe manner.

I have read this Waiver and Release agreement, fully understand its terms and understand that I am of legal age (18 years) and that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I acknowledge that I am agreeing to this Waiver and Release freely and voluntarily and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law. The term of this Waiver and Release is indefinite.
